With the latest in mobile technology, the net.tickIT web based solution is now available for mobile scanners and printers.
By using browser based technology, scanners can now run a multitude of applications including mark downs, price check, stock check, label replacements and due diligence. Each product scan interrogates a central database via RF and the product details and current price are identified. According to pre-defined rules, any type of label with automatic calculations can be printed and the user action recorded.
The process is front of store, fast and accurate and offers management statistics for tracking margin loss or shrinkage by store activity.
Mark Down Label Solutions
With the instore functionality of RF (Radio Frequency) the opportunities to download continually held prices, used for tills becomes real. This means that for items requiring mark downs, a threshold calculation can be programmed to enable fast track mark downs of end of season lines. Then thresholds are created by the scanning of the product barcode and receiving of its price point from the central server. Threshold rules attract 10%, 20% and 30% discounts.
The production of barcoded eye catching labels with attractive offers is fast and accurate. The whole rollout over one hundred stores paid for itself in less than one year.
When Managers need to reduce individual items for such reason as cosmetically damaged, ex-display or clearance, they have the authority to key in a dispensation price.
'Print & Apply' Solutions
Eastman was asked to provide a labelling solution that would not only cater for shelf edge but also for individual products.
The result was a successful instalment of a paper ultra scanner, which has the capability of printing the required label immediately after scanning the product barcode.
At the back of store, net.tickIT instore downloads to the ultra scanning device. The product then knows what label it is required in. There are two sizes and four formats.
When a product is scanned, the correct format is determined by the presence or absence of data and the correct label printed to the quantity prompted.
The Ultras work in batch mode and are updated each time prices change the process. On product labelling has saved 30% production time and is totally accurate to the central office download feed.
